my daughter lily is 3 years old.
she is now asking me all the body parts(all of them).
now i am not one to hold back so i told her what she has and what her little brother has when she asked.. so anyway..... now she sings songs about it.
I find it funny when parent says they want to teach their child the "proper" name for the body parts
as if these names were actually better than the other euphamisms we use for them....
penis is latin for Tail
and Vagina is latin for scabbard [what you stick a sword into -now aint that a lovely proper picture?]
apparently there never were any "proper" names for these naughty bits (^_^)
i know many women who joined as adults who were victims of physical abuse or some sort of sexual assault.
i know many men who join because their wives do.. i think generally to join the dubs as an adult, you have to be looking for some sort of security.
the world probably hasn't been very nice to you.
for some of us, like myself, we are outsiders in other ways, sort of like trekkers..... social or physical freaks who desire another world more technically or intellectually advanced then this one.... that is what attracted me as I was an avid sci fi fan--- still am.... and the idea that it could be real was very enticing.

Sherman was an odd JW, ghetto black, carried nun-chucks[?] and evetually went into the navy.... DA'd by force.
the infection lasted for a good many years until my rebellious streak forced me to see inconsistancies and discover lies and excuses to leave.
thankfully it won.
for some of us who leave the b.org, we realize that the society wasn't telling us the truth about who jesus is.
that's in a sense okay, since jesus' own disciples didn't really know either -- when he asked them, they gave all sorts of different answers.
i don't think the bible gives a single answer as well.
I'm not saying you view in incorrect, I'm saying you made up you mind prematurely.
I have not made up my mind on any issue, I am always open to new evidence or arguements....
I have learned not to take anyones B elief S ystem seriously, especially my own....
that being said, I have no reason to see Jesus as more than a myth until I find better evidence.

There are lots of possiblities, and when you settle on one, you become prejudice to anything that favors your already drawn conclusion.

the first thing I thought after leaving JWs was if not them, then who?
so back to the library to the origins of the bible itself to see who might fit as the true followers....
then I discovered what no believer told me, the other side of the story.... those who actually questioned
whether Jesus was ever a real person at all or just a religious myth.....
the more I studied the evidence the more I concluded that the Jesus story was like a lie told so often and so far and wide

THE TRUTH is really hard to determine because even a good model which fits all known facts can be shown wrong tomorrow with a
single exception.....but lies are always easy to spot....
they are misrepresentations of belief as fact....as is the blatant case above.

I think with a bit of modification we could have a winner here....
